''TV Terror: Felching a Dead Horse'' is a various artists compilation album released on September 23, 1997, by Re-Constriction Records. The idea came to fruition when '' Permission'' founder Jayson Elliot discovered ''Monochrome - A Tribute to the Sisters of Mercy'' via a car ride through Chicago in June 1994 and compiled the music on the second disc. Its release was the cause of the first utterance of the word " felch" on national television when Kurt Loder reported its release on MTV News. Reception ''Aiding & Abetting'' said "there are more good shots than bad ones. This is one of those pseudo-tribute albums that actually works, mostly because the artists involved didn't feel constrained by convention." Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. The genre was made more accessible to mainstream audiences in the 1990s with the aid of acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, both of which have released platinum-selling records. 16volt is an American industrial rock band featuring Eric Powell, with other performers added for live shows. History 16volt was formed in Portland, Oregon by composer and vocalist Eric Powell. Powell recruited musicians drummer Joel Bornzin, guitarist Jon Fell and Jeff Taylor to record "Motorskill", which debuted on '' The Cyberflesh Conspiracy'' various artist compilation by If It Moves... John Allan Jones (January 14, 1938 – October 23, 2024) was an American singer and actor. He was primarily a straight-pop singer (even when he recorded contemporary material) whose forays into jazz were mostly of the big-band/swing music variety. Christ Analogue was an American industrial rock group started in 1995 by frontman and producer Wade Alin. History Christ Analogue was devised in 1995 by programmer/vocalist Wade Alin. After Markus Von Prause joined on guitar, the duo debuted with the single "This Shall Not Breathe" in 1994 and was compared favorably to Sister Machine Gun. Pratt & McClain were an American musical duo known originally called Brother Love consisting of Jerry McClain and Truett Pratt, along with various sidemen. They scored a ''Billboard'' No. 5 hit in 1976 with "Happy Days", the theme to the sitcom of the same name, written and performed in a nostalgic 1950s rock and roll style. It was their only success, making them a one-hit wonder. Band history Truett Pratt grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and sang in his church choir. Jerry McClain also sang in the choir in his hometown of Pasadena, California. McClain formed his first band, American Scene, with Michael Omartian in the mid-1960s.
