TVS Apache RR 310
The TVS Apache RR 310 (''RR'' as ''Race Replica'') is a sport bike made by the TVS Motor Company in collaboration with BMW Motorrad that was launched in India on December 6, 2017. It uses a 312.2cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, SI, liquid-cooled, DOHC reverse inclined engine. It is rebadged by BMW Motorrad as the BMW G 310 RR. Although the engine of the Apache RR 310 is from BMW Motorrad's BMW G 310 R platform, the motorcycle was entirely designed by TVS in India. It is the company's first fully-faired production motorcycle. The TVS Apache RR310 is powered by 312.2cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 33.5 bhp and a torque of 27.3 Nm. Bharat Stage Emission Standards
Bharat stage emission standards (BSES) are emission standards instituted by the Government of India to regulate the output of air pollutants from compression ignition engines and Spark-ignition engines equipment, including motor vehicles. The standards and the timeline for implementation are set by the Central Pollution Control Board under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The standards, based on European regulations were first introduced in 2000. Progressively stringent norms have been rolled out since then. A slipper clutch ''(also known as a back-torque limiter)'' is a specialized clutch with an integrated freewheel mechanism, developed for performance-oriented motorcycles to mitigate the effects of engine braking when riders decelerate. The main purpose of a slipper clutch is to prevent over engine rev and rear wheel hop (or clatter) especially under hard braking in a vehicle (usually performance motorcycles). It does so by partially slipping until the engine's speed matches with the vehicle's speed upon sudden braking.
