TVRI (TV Channel)
TVRI (also referred to as TVRI Nasional, TVRI Siaran Nasional, or Kanal 1 TVRI Nasional), formerly also known as TVRI Jakarta Central Station (), is an Indonesian national television channel owned by the country's public television broadcaster Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI). The channel began broadcasting on 24 August 1962, making it the first television station in Indonesia. The channel was also the only television channel in Indonesia until 1989, when Programa Dua TVRI (now TVRI Jakarta) in Jakarta broadcast separately from TVRI and private television stations began broadcasting. TVRI is currently available on terrestrial, satellite, and most of pay television providers throughout the country, as well as on ''TVRI Klik'' streaming service. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. Digital Television In Indonesia
Digital terrestrial television in Indonesia (DVB-T2) began in 2010 and, in most areas, operates alongside the analog TV system. The first phase of the nationwide analog shutdown took place in 166 regencies and cities, including Dumai, Banda Aceh, Batam, Tanjungpinang, Serang, Bali, Samarinda, Tanjung Selor, Tarakan, Makassar, and Jayapura, starting on 30 April 2022. Dumai was the first to shut down, with the rest of phase one following before phase two began. TVRI Jakarta (officially LPP TVRI Stasiun DKI Jakarta) is a regional public television station in Indonesia owned by TVRI. IndiHome (abbreviated from Indonesia Digital Home) is a home telephone, internet, and Internet Protocol television services owned by Telkomsel since July 1, 2023. Prior to Telkomsel's takeover, it was owned by Telkomsel's majority shareholder Telkom Indonesia. IndiHome was launched in 2015 to replace Speedy. Its packages also come with digital music portal services and home automation.
