TT Pro League
The TT Premier Football League (formerly known as the TT Pro League) is the Trinidad and Tobago professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division in the Trinidad and Tobago football league system. Contested by twelve clubs, the league is one of the world's few football leagues that does not operate on an automatic system of promotion and relegation. Seasons run from September to May, with teams playing 18 games each totaling 90 games in the season. Most games are played in the evenings of Fridays (''Super Fridays'') and Saturdays (''Fiesta Saturdays''), with a few games played during weekday evenings. Devorn Jorsling
Devorn Jorsling (born 27 December 1983 in Morvant) is a Trinidadian footballer who plays for Defence Force. Club career Early career Jorsling played extensively in the TT Pro League, initially with W Connection and Caledonia AIA, but most prominently Defence Force, with whom he played for 8 seasons. He was part of the Defence Force squad which won T&T Pro League title in 2010/2011, won a First Citizens Cup winner's medal in 2009, won the Trinidad and Tobago Cup in 2005, and won the T&T Pro League Golden Boot Award in 2008, tallying 21 goals. He also played for the team in their 2002 CONCACAF Champions' Cup first round loss to Pachuca. Orlando City On 27 January 2011 Jorsling signed with Orlando City S.C. of the USL Pro league in the United States. The 2018 TT Pro League season is the 20th season of the TT Pro League, the Trinidad and Tobago professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1999. A total of ten teams are contesting the league, with North East Stars the defending champions from the 2017 season. The 2018 football season kicked off with the Charity Shield between defending TT Pro League champions North East Stars and defending Trinidad and Tobago FA Trophy champions W Connection. The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football.
