TTS Scarborough
TTS ''Scarborough'', named after Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago, Scarborough, a major town on the island of Tobago, is a of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard. The $126million contract to build two Cape-Class patrol boats for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard was awarded to Austal in 2019. The two boats, ''Scarborough'' and , where delivered in May 2021 and reached Trinidad and Tobago on 7 July that year. The two vessels were commissioned into the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in November 2021 by the List of prime ministers of Trinidad and Tobago, prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley. Delivery of the ships had been expected in 2020 but had been delayed because of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Henderson is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn. History The suburb of Henderson comprises land resumed by the Commonwealth Government in 1915 for defence purposes. A large naval base was planned by Admiral Sir Reginald Henderson, and the area was sometimes referred to as " Henderson Naval Base". The name was approved for the suburb in 1973. Scarborough is a major city of the Island of Tobago as well as the eleventh-most-populous in Trinidad and Tobago. Scarborough was the capital of Tobago in 1769 before it was unified with Trinidad changing the capital to Port of Spain. Pennant Number
In the Royal Navy and other navies of Europe and the Commonwealth of Nations, ships are identified by pennant number (an internationalisation of ''pendant number'', which it was called before 1948). Historically, naval ships flew a flag that identified a flotilla or type of vessel. For example, the Royal Navy used a red burgee for torpedo boats and a pennant with an H for torpedo boat destroyers. Adding a number to the type-identifying flag uniquely identified each ship. Keith Christopher Rowley (born 24 October 1949) is a Trinidadian and Tobagonian politician serving as the seventh prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, first elected into office on 9 September 2015 and again following the 2020 general election. He has led the People's National Movement (PNM) since May 2010 and was Leader of the Opposition from 2010 to 2015.
