TSG Pictures
TSG Pictures (also known as The Shooting Gallery) was a film production company established in 1990 by Bob Gosse, Larry Meistrich, Larry Russo, Whitney Ransick, Christopher Walsh, Eli Kabillio, Daniel Silverman and David Tuttle in association with Hal Hartley, Ted Hope, Nick Gomez (director), Nick Gomez and Michael Almereyda. Larry Meistrich was key in raising financing for the newly found film consortium. Its mission was to nurture New York City filmmakers to make director-driven pictures. Meistrich brought into the firm Steve Carlis to share financial oversight responsibilities and bring in new funding sources. An important participant in the New York independent film industry of the 1990s, associated with fellow New York City director-driven production companies including Good Machine and Killer Films, it produced a number of critically successful films. Too Much Sleep
''Too Much Sleep'' is the second album by the experimental college rock/art rock band Bongwater. It was released in 1989. In 1998, the album was remastered by Alan Douches and Kramer for its inclusion in '' Box of Bongwater'' set. Most of the songs are written by Mark Kramer and Ann Magnuson with some exceptions. "Talent Is a Vampire," "The Bad Review," and "Ill Fated Lovers Go Time Tripping" were written by Kramer, Magnuson, and Dave Rick. The title track was written strictly by Kramer, while "One So Black" was written by former King Missile member Dogbowl. Notable cover tunes include "The Drum" written by Peter Blegvad and Anthony Moore, "Why Are We Sleeping?" by Kevin Ayers, and "Splash 1" by the 13th Floor Elevators, one of two Roky Erickson covers with which Bongwater made themselves famous. ''Henry Fool'' is a 1997 American black comedy-drama film written, produced and directed by Hal Hartley, featuring Thomas Jay Ryan, James Urbaniak, and Parker Posey. is a 1996 Japanese comedy film directed by Sabu about a salaryman, a drug addict and a yakuza member go on a breathless three man chase through the streets of Tokyo, each for their own different reason and fighting own demons. Plot Beginning with Yasuda, a chronically bullied salaryman due to underachievements and clumsiness, and is mocked by a woman he pines for who she derides him and her husband as well.
