Techniques De Randonnée Équestre De Compétition
TREC, short for the French Techniques de Randonnée Équestre de Compétition is an equestrian discipline designed to test horse and rider. With origins in France, the sport has spread through Europe, and was introduced to the UK by the British Horse Society (BHS) in 1998. The sport is now known as British TREC and is run by TREC GB. TREC competitions consist of three separate events (phases) - mounted orienteering, a demonstration of control of the horse's paces and an obstacle course - all completed over the course of one or two days, and points scored, with the highest scoring being declared the overall event winner. Text Retrieval Conference
The Text REtrieval Conference (TREC) is an ongoing series of workshops focusing on a list of different information retrieval (IR) research areas, or ''tracks.'' It is co-sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (part of the office of the Director of National Intelligence), and began in 1992 as part of the TIPSTER Text program. Its purpose is to support and encourage research within the information retrieval community by providing the infrastructure necessary for large-scale ''evaluation'' of text retrieval methodologies and to increase the speed of lab-to-product transfer of technology. TREC's evaluation protocols have improved many search technologies. The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is the state agency that governs real estate practices in the state of Texas. The agency is headquartered at 1700 North Congress in Austin. TREC is composed of nine members appointed by the Governor with the concurrence of the Texas Senate. The members are appointed for six-year terms, with the terms of three members expiring every two years. Six members must be licensed real estate brokers who have been engaged in the real estate brokerage business as their major occupations for at least five years preceding their appointments. The ExPlace Wind Turbine is a tall wind turbine located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on the grounds of the Exhibition Place (a.k.a. ExPlace). The turbine is co-owned by WindShare, a for-profit co-operative; and Rankin Integrated Energy (part of Rankin Construction), a construction company specializing in renewable projects. Their presence indicates maturation of T cells; TRECs are reduced in SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency disease). Signal joint T-cell receptor excision circles (sjTRECs) might be used as a way to test the age of the individual from a blood sample.
