TPC Craig Ranch
TPC Craig Ranch is a private golf club in the south central United States, located within the community of Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, north-northeast of Dallas. Designed by major champion Tom Weiskopf, the championship golf course is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. It hosted the Nationwide Tour Championship, the season-ending tournament on the second tier Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour), in 2008 and 2012. McKinney, Texas
McKinney is a city in and the county seat of Collin County, Texas. It is Collin County's third-largest city, after Plano, Texas, Plano and Frisco, Texas, Frisco. A suburb of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, McKinney is about north of Dallas. Tom Weiskopf
Thomas Daniel Weiskopf (November 9, 1942 – August 20, 2022) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. His most successful decade was the 1970s. He won 16 PGA Tour titles between 1968 and 1982, including the 1973 Open Championship. After winding down his career playing golf, Weiskopf became a noted golf course architect. Career Weiskopf was born in Massillon, Ohio. He attended Benedictine High School in Cleveland, and Ohio State University where he played on the golf team. He turned professional in 1964. Weiskopf's first win on the PGA Tour came at the Andy Williams-San Diego Open Invitational in 1968, and fifteen more followed by 1982. His career season was 1973, when he won seven tournaments around the world, including The Open Championship at Royal Troon, and he would finish that year ranked second in the world according to Mark McCormack's world golf rankings. The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level. Those who are on the top 25 of the money list at year's end are given PGA Tour memberships for the next season. 2020–21 PGA Tour
The 2020–21 PGA Tour was the 106th season of the PGA Tour, and the 54th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 10, 2020. The 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs began on August 19, and concluded on September 5, 2021. Because of rescheduling during the 2019–20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, six major championships occurred during the timeframe of the 2020–21 season, with two editions of both the U.S. Open and Masters Tournament, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics. As such, the PGA Tour marketed this season as a "super season". By winning the Tour Championship, Patrick Cantlay became the FedEx Cup champion. AT&T Byron Nelson
The AT&T Byron Nelson is a golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, currently hosted by TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, northeast of Dallas. Held in May, it is one of two PGA Tour stops in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex – which until the 2020-21 PGA Tour, was the only metropolitan area to host two events on separate courses in the area (Las Vegas, Nevada and Savannah, Georgia have since hosted two events on two separate courses). The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA Tour and has raised more than $143 million.
