TJ Rovinka
TJ Rovinka is a Slovak football team, based in the town of Rovinka. The club was founded in 1947. Rovinka played in a Super Cup at the start of the 2017–18 season, having won the Bratislava Cup the previous season. They lost to Czech side 5–1, who had previously won the South Moravian Region Cup. As an amateur side, Rovinka defeated Senica of the Slovak First Football League 3–2 in the third round of the 2020–21 Slovak Cup, causing an upset. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia, amateur clubs were expelled from the competition before the next round, so Rovinka played no further part in the cup. Rovinka won the 4. liga, Bratislava Region in the 2022–23 season, but refused to apply for a license to play in the third-tier league for the following season, thus remaining at the fourth level. Rovinka
Rovinka (, ) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava Region. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1274. Until their expulsion in 1945 the village was inhabited by Germans. Geography The municipality lies at an altitude of 132 metres and covers an area of 8.853 km2. 2020–21 Slovak Cup
The 2020–21 Slovak Cup was the 52nd edition of the competition. The tournament began on 25 July 2020 and the final was played on 19 May 2021. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions, defeating Ružomberok in the 2020 final. Slovan won a second consecutive title, defeating Žilina in the final. The winner of the Slovak Cup earned automatic qualification for the second qualifying round in UEFA Europa Conference League. As Slovan had already qualified for the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League as league champion, the spot was decided by the Europa Conference League play-offs, which was eventually won by Žilina. The COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was confirmed to have spread to Slovakia on 6 March 2020 when Prime Minister of Slovakia, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini announced that a 52-year-old man was infected. He had not travelled anywhere but his son had travelled to Venice in Italy, and was later confirmed as the first Slovak to be infected. Three cases were then confirmed, including the man's son and wife. During the next few days, COVID-19 cases went up to 21 out of 832 tested.
