Tony DiNozzo And Ziva David
Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David are fictional characters from the American police procedural drama ''NCIS (TV series), NCIS''. Tony DiNozzo, Tony, an original character, is portrayed by Michael Weatherly, and Ziva David, Ziva, who first appeared in the third season, is portrayed by Cote de Pablo. Frequently referred to by the portmanteau "Tiva" (for Tony and Ziva), the characters' flirtation and the idea of them eventually beginning a relationship became a subject of interest among viewers, and by 2010, ''TV Guide'' reported that "many fans have become obsessed with the romantic tension". Focus and media coverage on the pair escalated over the years, particularly after ''NCIS'' became the most watched television series in America during its tenth season. The characters were initially scripted as having a "cat and mouse" relationship, something that continues into the later seasons. The pairing develops at a slow pace throughout the series and is dealt a number of obstacles. This incl ... Remifentanil
Remifentanil is a potent, short-acting synthetic opioid analgesic drug. It is given to patients during surgery to relieve pain and as an adjunct to an anaesthetic. Remifentanil is used for sedation as well as combined with other medications for use in general anesthesia. The use of remifentanil has made possible the use of high-dose opioid and low-dose hypnotic anesthesia, due to synergism between remifentanil and various hypnotic drugs and volatile anesthetics. Clinical use Remifentanil is used as an opioid analgesic that has a rapid onset and rapid recovery time. It has been used effectively during craniotomies, spinal surgery, cardiac surgery, and gastric bypass surgery. While opiates function similarly, with respect to analgesia, the pharmacokinetics of remifentanil allows for quicker post-operative recovery. Administration It is administered in the form ''remifentanil hydrochloride'' and in adults is given as an intravenous infusion in doses ranging from 0.1 microgram ... Transcriptome In Vivo Analysis Tag
A transcriptome in vivo analysis tag (TIVA tag) is a multifunctional, photoactivatable mRNA-capture molecule designed for isolating mRNA from a single cell in complex tissues. __TOC__ Background A transcript is an RNA molecule that is copied or transcribed from a DNA template. A transcript can be further processed by alternative splicing, which is the retention of different combinations of exons. These unique combinations of exons are termed RNA transcript isoforms. The transcriptome is a set of all RNA, including rRNA, mRNA, tRNA, and non-coding RNA. Specifically mRNA transcripts can be used to investigate differences in gene expression patterns. Transcriptome profiling is determining the composition of transcripts and their relative expression levels in a given reference set of cells. This analysis involves characterization of all functional genomic elements, coding and non-coding. The current RNA capture methods involve sorting cells in suspension from acutely dissociat ...
