Tiga James Sontag (born 18 September 1974), known simply as Tiga (), is a Canadian musician, DJ, music programmer, and record producer. He has released three albums: ''Sexor'' (2006), ''Ciao! (Tiga album), Ciao!'' (2009), and ''No Fantasy Required'' (2016). The former won the Juno Awards of 2007, 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. Tiga released a selection of compilations in the early 2000s, featuring mixes such as ''American Gigolo'', ''DJ-Kicks: Tiga'' and, ''Mixed Emotions''. His compilation mix, ''Tiga Non-Stop'', was released in November 2012, and premiered Tiga's latest single "Plush". Jean-Claude "Tiga" Garoute (December 9, 1935 – December 14, 2006) was a Haitian painter and sculptor. Born in Jérémie, Garoute co-founded a museum of ceramic art in Haiti named Poto-Mitan. An abstract painter, he participated in art festivals throughout the world. Tiga and Maud Guerdes Robard founded the Saint-Soleil post-naïve school of Haitian painting. The school was born when they offered farmers in Soisson-La-Montagne, a rural area near Port-au-Prince, drawing and painting materials. Out of the movement came such painters as Levoy Exil, Louisiane Saint Fleurant, St-Jean, and Dieuseul Paul to name a few. The movement drew the eye of French author André Malraux who dedicated a chapter to it in his book ''L'Intemporel''. Harold James Phillip "Tiga" Bayles (6 October 1953 – 17 April 2016) was an Indigenous Australian radio presenter and activist. He was a descendent of the Birri Gubba and Gungalu nations of Queensland. He was raised in Theodore, Queensland, the son of Maureen Watson. Career With his mother, Bayles, who became known as Tiga, established ''Radio Redfern'', an Indigenous radio program on Sydney community station Radio Skid Row. In 1982, he was involved with the Aboriginal movement protests around the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Both Tiga and Maureen Watson also appeared on 2SER. He was chairman of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council and a key organiser of the Aboriginal Bicentennial protests in Sydney in 1988. Tiga Island () is one of a group of small uninhabited volcanic islands in Kimanis Bay off the western coast of Sabah, Malaysia. Tiga Race Cars Ltd. was a British auto racing constructor and team. The company was founded in 1974 by two former Formula 1 drivers, Australian Tim Schenken and New Zealander Howden Ganley. The company's name was formed by the first two letters of Tim and Ganley. Tiga constructed racing cars for various forms of open wheel racing and sports car racing, ranging from Formula Ford to the World Sportscar Championship.
