TGRT 2
TGRT (initialism of ''Türkiye Gazete Radyo Televizyon'', 'Türkiye Newspaper, Radio, Television') was a Turkish free-to-air television channel. Launched by İhlas Holding as one of Turkey's earliest private television broadcasters on April 22, 1993, it operated until February 2007 when it was replaced by FOX, whose parent company News Corporation had purchased the broadcasting rights of TGRT on July 25, 2006. The sale, which marked the first time a Turkish television channel was sold to foreign capital, included the broadcasting rights and the terrestrial broadcasting frequencies belonging to TGRT, but not the TGRT branding, which continues to exist as the corporate company name. The sister channels TGRT Haber, TGRT EU and TGRT Belgesel also remain with İhlas Holding. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for Digitization, digitizing 625 lines, 625 line Analog television, analogue television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy colour encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL#PAL region, PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Türksat (satellite)
Türksat is the name of a series of Turkish communications satellites operated or projected by the state-owned Türksat A.Ş. Satellite telecommunication is provided by the Gölbaşı Ground Station in Ankara, Turkey. Missions Satellites Türksat 1A Türksat 1A was the first attempt of the project and launched by Ariane 4 from Centre Spatial Guyanais in Kourou, French Guiana on 24 January 1994. Enver Ören
Enver Ören (10 February 1939, Honaz, Denizli – 22 February 2013, Şişli, Istanbul) was the founder of İhlas Holding. He was born in Turkey. He graduated from the Faculty of Science at Istanbul University in 1961. He was accepted to the premier military school of Turkey with a full scholarship and graduated top of his class. After graduating he went to Italy, on a NATO scholarship for one and a half years for further study and research. In the early 1970s he assumed the heavy responsibility of publishing a newspaper. Ören was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science by Selçuk University in Konya, Turkey for his contributions to the advancement of science and technology. He was also awarded the decade's most successful manager of a newspaper company (1980–1990) by the Ankara Association of Journalists.
