TG5
''TG5'' (''TeleGiornale 5'') is a news programme on the Italian TV channel Canale 5, part of the Mediaset network and owned by MFE - MediaForEurope. It is broadcast domestically on Canale 5 and TgCom24, Mediaset TGcom24 several times a day. The rating for the programme's 08:00 PM edition, are among the highest for Italian commercial TV. The programme is broadcast from Rome. The editor-in-chief is Clemente Mimun. Programme format The roots of the programme go back to 1980 on Canale 5, with a programme covering Lombardy called ''Video 5''. In 1983 it was replaced by ''Canale 5 News''. The programme is generally presented by a single News presenter, newsreader but with additional newsreaders for financial reports. Generally the programme features reports which are preceded and followed by the correspondent reporting live from the scene of the report. Cesara Buonamici
Cesara Buonamici (born 2 January 1957) is an Italian journalist and television presenter. Active since the 1970s, she began her career by curating various journalistic columns for the Fininvest networks, later becoming one of the symbolic faces of ''TG5'', for which she has worked since its launch on 13 January 1992. Biography The beginnings Sister of the Florentine nobleman Cesare Buonamici, Cesara was born in 1957 in Fiesole on the family property. Enrico Mentana
Enrico Mentana (born 15 January 1955) is an Italian journalist and television presenter. He founded the Italian news programme '' TG5'' and directed it from 1992 to 2004. In 2005, as Canale 5's editorial director, he conceived and curated the talk show ''Matrix'' until his resignation in 2009 due to a disagreement with the network. Since June 2010 he has been the director of the news programme '' TG La7''. He is also the director of the online newspaper ''Open'', which he founded in December 2018. Dario Maltese (born 13 February 1977) is an Italian journalist and television presenter. Biography After living and studying in Castellammare del Golfo, obtaining a classical high school diploma, he moved from Sicily to Rome, graduating in political science at Luiss Guido Carli. Canale 5
Canale 5 () is an Italian free-to-air television channel of Mediaset, owned by MFE - MediaForEurope. It was the first private television network to have national coverage in Italy in 1980. On 4 December 2012, Mediaset launched Canale 5 HD, a simulcast of Canale 5 in high-definition. The channel is aimed at a primarily adult audience, mainly offering entertainment, movies and TV series. Since January 2013, Canale 5 has been directed by Giancarlo Scheri. History 1970s In 1974 in Milano 2, a satellite city built by Silvio Berlusconi, Giacomo Properzj and Alceo Moretti, the private cable television station Telemilanocavo was founded, and the first transmissions began on 24 September. Emilio Carelli (born 21 May 1952) is an Italian journalist and politician, member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Five Star Movement, since 24 March 2018 until 2 February 2021. Lamberto Sposini
Lamberto Sposini (born 18 February 1952) is an Italian former journalist and television presenter. Born in Foligno, Sposini started his career as a journalist for the newspaper '' Paese Sera'', then in 1978 he became a collaborator of RAI TV, working as a redactor, a correspondent and as a news speaker of TG1.
