Clermont-Ferrand station (French: ''Gare de Clermont-Ferrand)'' is a French railway station, located on the Saint-Germain-des-Fossés–Nîmes railway in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The station is served by Intercités (Intercity) and TER (Regional) services operated by SNCF. Location The station is located on the Saint-Germain-des-Fossés–Nîmes, Clermont-Ferrand-Saint-Just-sur-Loire and Eygurande-Merlines-Clermont-Ferrand railways. History The station opened in 1855 following the extension of the line from Gannat. The station of Clermont-Ferrand has been renovated between 2010 and 2018. TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is the regional rail network serving the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, central and eastern France. It is operated by the French national railway company SNCF. It was formed in 2017 from the previous TER networks TER Auvergne and TER Rhône-Alpes TER Rhône-Alpes was the regional rail network serving Rhône-Alpes région, eastern France. Saint-Étienne-Châteaucreux Station
Saint-Étienne-Châteaucreux station (French: ''Gare de Saint-Étienne-Châteaucreux)'' is the main railway station in the town of Saint-Étienne. The station is situated in ''Châteaucreux'', a little outside the centre of Saint-Étienne. The station is linked to the town centre by the town's second tramway line. It is situated at a junction of railway lines: Moret–Lyon (via Nevers and Roanne), and lines to Clermont-Ferrand and Le Puy-en-Velay. History Châteaucreux was built in 1855 in classical style by architect Joseph-Antoine Bouvard for the PLM. The building is a sculpted metal structure filed with coloured bricks.
