Telangana is a States and union territories of India, state in India situated in the Southern India, south-central part of the Indian subcontinent on the high Deccan Plateau. It is the List of states and union territories of India by area, eleventh largest state by area and the List of states and union territories of India by population, twelfth most populated state in India, according to the 2011 Census of India, 2011 census. On 2 June 2014, the area was separated from the northwestern part of United Andhra Pradesh as the newly formed States and union territories of India, state of Telangana, with Hyderabad as its capital. Revanth Reddy
Anumula Revanth Reddy (born 8 November 1969) is an Indian politician who is serving as the second and current Chief Minister of Telangana since 7 December 2023. As a member of the Indian National Congress, he is the current Member of the Legislative Assembly for Kodangal. He previously represented Malkajgiri as a Member of Parliament. Appointed as president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee in July 2021, he led his party to victory in the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election, defeating the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi. The Telangana Legislative Assembly (ISO: ''Telangāṇa Śāsana Sabha'') is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through adult franchise. Each constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A.s. The assembly is elected using the simple plurality or "first past the post" electoral system. The elections are conducted by the Election Commission of India. Andhra Pradesh (1956–2014)
Andhra Pradesh, retrospectively referred to as United Andhra Pradesh or Undivided Andhra Pradesh, was a state in India formed by States Reorganisation Act, 1956 with Hyderabad as its capital and was reorganised by Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The state was made up of three distinct cultural regions of Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra. Before the 1956 reorganisation, Telangana had been part of Hyderabad State (1948–1956), Hyderabad State, whereas Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra had been part of Andhra State, formerly a part of Madras Presidency ruled by British Raj. Jaya Jaya He Telangana
"Jaya Jaya Hē Telangāṇa" is the state song of the Indian state of Telangana. It was composed by Ande Sri. The song was adopted by many organisations and schools in Telangana during the Telangana movement, replacing "Maa Telugu Talliki". On 16 March 2021, in the Telangana State Assembly, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao clarified that Jaya Jaya He Telangana had not been officially adopted as the state song of Telangana. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka (born 15 June 1961) is an Indian politician currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana. He represents Madhira constituency in the Telangana Legislative assembly. He previously served as the Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Assembly. He was elected as the Member of Legislative Assembly in 2009 and 2014 elections. The Telangana High Court is the High Court for the Indian state of Telangana. Founded by the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan, It was established as a High Court for the erstwhile Hyderabad State and in November 1956 after formation of Andhra Pradesh renamed as ''High Court of Andhra Pradesh''. Telangana Day is a state public holiday in the Indian state of Telangana, commemorating the formation of the state of Telangana. It is observed annually on 2nd June.
