TEI-PD170
The TEI-PD170 is an advanced turbodiesel aviation engine developed by Tusaş Engine Industries (TEI). It was designed for use in Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and serves as a core part of Turkey's indigenous aerospace engine initiatives. The engine delivers a maximum power of 170 hp (127 kW) and is optimized for high altitude and endurance performance. Design and Development The TEI-PD170 program began in response to Turkey's need for a domestically produced engine for its UAV platforms, reducing reliance on foreign suppliers. It first ran on December 22, 2016, and achieved certification in 2018. The engine is notable for its fuel efficiency, high-altitude capability, and modular design, making it ideal for long-endurance missions. The engine has been integrated into platforms such as the Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3, TAI Anka and the TAI Aksungur, contributing significantly to the operational effectiveness of Turkey's UAV fleet. A higher-powered variant, the TEI- ...

TAI Anka
The TAI Anka is a family of unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries primarily for the Turkish Air Force. Envisioned in the early 2000s for aerial surveillance and reconnaissance missions, Anka has evolved into a modular platform with synthetic-aperture radar, precise weapons and satellite communication. The basic version, Anka-A, was classified as a medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle for reconnaissance missions. Introduced in 2010, Anka granted its first contract in 2013 from Turkish Air Force. The Force requested further studies in advanced uninterrupted intelligence, reconnaissance and communication technologies. The aircraft was set to a long development phase to introduce national mission computer, national flight control system, synthetic aperture radar, indigenous engine and friend or foe identification system. Anka-B made its first flight in 2014 and completed factory tests in 2015. In 2017, Turkish Aerospace Industries intro ...

TAI Aksungur
The TAI Aksungur (previously known as Anka-2) is an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) built by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for the Turkish Armed Forces. Using existing technology from the TAI Anka series of drones, it is the manufacturer's largest drone with payload capacity for mission-specific equipment. It is intended to be used for long-term surveillance, signals intelligence, maritime patrol missions, or as an unmanned combat aerial vehicle. TAI planned to integrate weapon packages and put the Aksungur into production in early 2020. The first unit was delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces on 20 October 2021. Development Aksungur, Turkish for gyrfalcon, is classified as a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It is designed and manufactured by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for tactical surveillance and reconnaissance missions of the Turkish Armed Forces. The Aksungur has twin turbocharged engines with a twin boom configuration. ...
