T. V. Kumudhini
T. V. Kumudini (13 October 1916 – 2000) was an Indian actress. She made her debut in the Tamil historical film '' Mathru Bhoomi'' in 1939, playing the lead role. She acted in over 100 films in various roles. Early life Kumudini's birth name was Kalyani Gandhimathi. She became well-known after playing the character "Kumudini" in the film '' Mathru Bhoomi'', and adopted that name as her stage name, changing it to T. V. Kumudini. She was born on 13 October 1916 in Aathankal, near Thiruvananthapuram. Her father, Veeramani Iyer, passed away when she was four. She had one younger brother, Harikar Iyer. Kumudini began learning Carnatic music at a young age from Anantha Bhagavathar and Ayyachi Bhagavathar in Thiruvananthapuram. The kingdom of Travancore (), also known as the kingdom of Thiruvithamkoor () or later as Travancore State, was a kingdom that lasted from until 1949. ''Sivandha Mann'' () is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film written, produced and directed by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Kanchana, with S. V. Ranga Rao, M. N. Nambiar, Muthuraman, Nagesh and Sachu in supporting roles. It revolves around an Inspector General's son (Ganesan) and a princess (Kanchana) who rebel against the tyrannical ruler (Nambiar) of their region. Sridhar initially began work on a film titled ''Andru Sinthiya Ratham'' () with M. G. Ramachandran starring. Though many scenes were shot, the film was ultimately shelved when Ramachandran backed out. Sridhar later revived the project as ''Sivandha Mann'' with script changes, and Ganesan starring. ''Vietnam Veedu'' () is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language drama film, directed by P. Madhavan and written by Sundaram. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Padmini, with Nagesh, K. A.
