T.J. Hensick
Timothy James Hensick (born December 10, 1985) is an American former professional ice hockey center. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues. Hensick was drafted 88th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche. Playing career As a youth, Hensick played in the 1999 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Detroit Honeybaked minor ice hockey team. He later played with the United States National Development Program. He spent four years (2003–07) at University of Michigan playing collegiate ice hockey. Hensick had a league leading 69 points and 46 assists in the 2006–07 season, but was not among the three finalists for the Hobey Baker Award. He was, however, named in the NCAA All-American Team. Charlotte Checkers
The Charlotte Checkers are a professional ice hockey team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), and are the top minor league affiliate of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Abbotsford Heat were a professional ice hockey team that played five seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) between 2009 and 2014. The team was based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, and played its home games at the 7,046-seat Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre. The franchise was the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Calgary Flames and arrived in Abbotsford in 2009 as a relocated franchise formerly known as the Quad City Flames. Peoria Rivermen (AHL)
The Peoria Rivermen were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Peoria, Illinois, at the Carver Arena. After the 2012–13 AHL season, the team relocated to Utica, New York, and became the Utica Comets. Julian Talbot (born March 24, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, converted from center, who last played for the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League. Playing career Talbot, a Wahnapitae native, followed his older brother Joe in playing Major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Ottawa 67's. In his rookie 2002–03 season Talbot displayed offensive potential in recording 10 goals and 28 points in 62 games. His offensive contributions to the 67's steadily increased in the following two seasons, earning successive team nominations for the William Hanley Trophy in 2003–04, 2004–05 seasons as the team's most sportsmanlike player. Darren Haydar
Darren J. Haydar (born October 22, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. Haydar was selected by the Nashville Predators in the ninth round (248th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He is one of the top AHL players of all-time, having won two Calder Cup championships and is the AHL’s all-time leader in playoff goals (63), assists (80) and points (143). Despite his prowess in the AHL, Haydar played little in the NHL, scoring only a single goal and eight points over 23 games.
