Norwegian Institute Of Technology
The Norwegian Institute of Technology ( Norwegian: ''Norges tekniske høgskole'', NTH) was a science institute in Trondheim, Norway. It was established in 1910, and existed as an independent technical university for 58 years, after which it was merged into the University of Trondheim as an independent college. In 1996 NTH ceased to exist as an organizational superstructure when the university was restructured and rebranded. The former NTH departments are now basic building blocks of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). NTH was primarily a polytechnic institute, educating master level engineers as well as architects. Nils Anders Røkke (born 10 April 1963) is a Norwegian scientist and business leader. He is the Executive Vice President Sustainability SINTEF. He is as of May 2017 the Chairman of The European Energy Research Alliance. EERA is the public research pillar of the EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan(SET-Plan). The SET-Plan aims at accelerating the development and market uptake of key low carbon technologies. Roar Arntzen
Roar Arntzen (born 23 November 1947) is a Norwegian engineer. He grew up in Rosenborg and Byåsen, and took the siv.ing. degree at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in his hometown. He was hired as a researcher in SINTEF in 1971, an institute for technical and industrial research. In 1977 he was hired as a chief engineer in Autronica, where he served five years as chief executive from 1984 to 1989, when he became director of the SINTEF company Elab-Runit. He advanced further to vice chief executive of SINTEF in 1991 and chief executive in 1995. He was first acting chief executive for some months before being hired on a permanent basis in November 1995. In March 2002 he was announced as the new chief executive of St. Olav Hospital. Alexandra Bech Gjørv (born 13 September 1965) is a Norwegian lawyer and businesswoman. She is the daughter of journalist Toppen Bech, and a daughter-in-law of politician Inger Lise Gjørv. She was assigned with Norsk Hydro from 1993 to 2007, and with Statoil from 2007 to 2010. Morten Loktu (born 18 September 1960) is a Norwegian businessperson. He took the siv.ing. degree at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1984, and was hired as an engineer in Statoil in 1985. Since then he has been a director in the company, except for the years 2002 to 2004, when he was the chief executive of SINTEF. Torleiv Maseng
Torleiv Maseng (born 1946) is a prominent Norwegian engineer, who made some contribution to the Global System for Mobile Communications project. His work included the standard use of channel estimation and the combination of equalization, error correcting codes and modulation in which the Viterbi algorithm was used by all components. Maseng received his master's degree in Radio Communication from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1970.
