Lucilectric was a German pop/rock duo founded in 1993 by Luci van Org and producer . They are known primarily for their 1994 hit single "Mädchen (song), Mädchen" ("Girl"), which spent 12 weeks in the Media Control Charts, German Top 10, eventually reaching number two. The single also charted in the Switzerland, Swiss, Austrian and Netherlands, Dutch markets. ''Hey Süßer'' (''Hey sweetheart''), another of single from the same album, also reached the Top 40 in 1994. Lucilectric would go on to record two more albums and eventually separated in 1999. Ina Lucia Hildebrand (born 1 September 1971), known professionally as Luci van Org, is a German musician and writer. She is best known as the singer of the group Lucilectric, whose song "Mädchen (song), Mädchen" was a hit in Germany in 1994. Since then, she has written music for other artists and her own projects Das Haus von Luci, Üebermutter, Meystersinger and Lucina Soteira, which span over multiple genres. German rock music (''Deutschrock'') came into its own only by the late 1960s, but spawned many bands spanning genres such as krautrock, Neue Deutsche Welle, heavy metal, punk, and industrial.
