Søren Huss (born 6 September 1975) is a Danish singer, songwriter and musician. Prior to a solo career, he is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Saybia, which was formed in Nyborg in January 1993. Nyborg
Nyborg is a city in central Denmark, located in Nyborg Municipality on the island of Funen and with a population of 17,990 (2025). It is the easternmost settlement on Funen. By road, it is located 34 km east of Odense, 35 km north of Svendborg and 21 km south of Kerteminde. It also connects to Korsør through the Great Belt Bridge. Saybia
Saybia is a Danish rock band formed in Nyborg in 1993. History From 1998 to 2000 they privately recorded three EPs (which they sold at their concerts) before signing to EMI in the spring of 2001. In the summer EMI released the 6 track EP "Saybia". In September 2001 the band went to Sweden to record their debut album ''The Second You Sleep''. This album was recorded in "The Blue Room" in Gävle (Sweden), and was produced by Saybia and Swedish producer Andreas Ahlenius. The album was mixed at Medley Studios, Copenhagen DK. After the release on 21 January 2002, the band went on the road, touring Scandinavia and most of Northern Europe until Sep 2003. In 2003 Saybia released a Live-EP recorded 16 February at the venue "013" in Tilburg, NL. In autumn 2003, the band bought a house south of Copenhagen, and turned it into a rehearsal/recording studio. Valby () is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark. It is in the southwestern corner of Copenhagen Municipality, and has a mixture of different types of housing. ''Troen & Ingen'' is the debut studio album by Danish singer and songwriter Søren Huss. It was released on 18 October 2010 through Universal Music Denmark. Background "Troen & Ingen" is Huss's first solo studio album after three album releases with the rock band Saybia, and comes three years after his girlfriend died in a right-turning accident. It was recorded at A Kind of Eden and Medley Studiet. Huss has explained about the album, "The record is in many ways a quantum leap for me. Partly I sing about the worst thing a person can experience and something very private. Partly I sing my own lyrics in Danish for the first time. But both are a great liberation for me." ''Oppefra & Ned'' is the second studio album by Danish singer and songwriter Søren Huss. It was released on 15 October 2012 through Universal Music Denmark. Background and promotion "Oppefra & Ned" follows Huss's solo debut Troen & Ingen (2010), which dealt with the grief of losing his girlfriend in a traffic accident. Unlike the previous album, there are no love songs on Oppefra & Ned, as he felt he needed a "musical kick in the ass". Huss stated that "Troen & Ingen was almost a long love story and characterized by the fact that I was in deep grief. It's different this time. I'm no longer in grief, I've moved on in my life and have strived to make a more up-tempo record that is about other things."
