Södertörn
Södertörn is a roughly triangular peninsula and artificial island in eastern Södermanland, Sweden, with an area of 1,207 km² and is bordered by: *Lake Mälaren, the Hammarby Canal and the inlet of Saltsjön (a part of the Baltic Sea) to the north, *The Baltic Sea (the Stockholm Archipelago) to the east and the south, * Himmerfjärden and Hallsfjärden (parts of the Baltic Sea) to the west as well as *The Södertälje Canal to the northwest. The Södertälje Canal and Hammarby Canal are man-made waterways, so the peninsula of Södertörn is not fully separated from (the rest of) the Swedish mainland or the island of Södermalm by nature, although Södertörn is classified as an island by Statistics Sweden, and the third largest island in Sweden. Nynäshamn Municipality
Nynäshamn Municipality () is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Nynäshamn. In 1974 the former ''City of Nynäshamn'' (itself instituted in 1946) was merged with ''Ösmo'', from which it had been detached as a market town (''köping'') in 1911 and ''Sorunda'', all in the Södertörn peninsula and adjacent islands. Södermanland
Södermanland ( ), locally Sörmland, sometimes referred to under its Latinisation of names, Latinized form Sudermannia or Sudermania, is a Provinces of Sweden, historical province (or ) on the south eastern coast of Sweden. It borders Östergötland, Närke, Västmanland and Uppland. It is also bounded by lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. Södermalm, often shortened to just Söder, is the southern district of Stockholm City Centre. Haninge Municipality
Haninge Municipality () is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Handen, a part of the Stockholm urban area. Haninge Municipality was formed in 1971 when ''Västerhaninge'' and ''Österhaninge'' were united. The municipal coat of arms depicts a capercaillie from which the name Haninge is believed to have been derived (the German word ''hahn'' means capercaillie), while the anchor symbolizes the naval base in the municipality. Nynäshamn
Nynäshamn is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Nynäshamn Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 13,510 inhabitants in 2010. While interest in the area as a potentially useful port grew from the mid-19th century, it was only with the opening of the Nynäshamn Station, railway station to Stockholm in 1901 that Nynäshamn started to develop. Nynäs Line
The Nynäs Line () is a long railway line between Älvsjö and Nynäshamn in Sweden. The line is electrified and is double track on the section from Älvsjö to Västerhaninge. The line is used by the Stockholm Commuter Rail and freight trains. At Älvsjö, it connects to the Western Main Line. At Farsta strand there is a connection to Farsta strand metro station, which is a terminus at the Stockholm underground railway. At Nynäshamn there is transfer to the Destination Gotland ferries to the island of Gotland.
