	Södermalm (borough) Södermalm is a city district area (, often referred to as a ''borough'') in central Stockholm, Sweden. Södermalm borough has a population of around 110,000, making it the most populated borough of Stockholm. The urban development project of Hammarby Sjöstad is located in the Södermalm borough. Overview Södermalm was created 1 January 2007, through the merging of the boroughs of Maria-Gamla Stan and Katarina-Sofia. It covers the island of Södermalm and some neighboring districts. The two former boroughs made up the eastern and western half of the island of Södermalm. Maria-Gamla Stan was the result of a previous merging between the original borough with the same name, and the former borough of Hornstull, in 1999. 	Södra Hammarbyhamnen Södra Skogsägarna, trading as Södra, is a forestry cooperative based in Växjö, Sweden. More than 52,000 forest owners in southern Sweden are members of the economic association that is Södra. They own just over half of all privately owned forest in the area, as well as a group of companies that are successful in both Swedish and international markets. This gives them a market for their raw materials from the forest and at the same time provides the foundation for profitable forestry. 3,150 people work for the group, in areas that range from forestry management and environmental conservation to accounting, sales and product development. picture info	Reimersholme Reimersholme is a small island in central Stockholm, lying to the west of Södermalm and to the south of the neighbouring island Långholmen. Reimersholme is inhabited by 2,324 people, living in 1,527 dwellings, and with an average annual income of SEK 306,500. 12 percent of the inhabitants have a foreign background. Until June 24, 1798 Reimersholme was called Räkneholmen. Its present name refers to Anders Reimers (1727-1816), a hatter and magistrate whose estate can still be found on the east side of the island. 	Hornstull Hornstull () is an area in western Södermalm, Stockholm. Hornstull is actually the name of where the streets Hornsgatan and Långholmsgatan intersect. Up to the early 19th century it was also a city toll; "tull" in Swedish. Hornstull also has a metro station, which opened on April 5, 1964. Two of the subdivisions of Hornstull are Drakenberg, and Högalid, after which the neighborhood school (Högalidsskolan) and parish church are named.
