Sâmia Lima
Sâmia Raquel Passos Lima (born 8 June 2000) is a Brazilian badminton player. As a junior player, she won the U-17 2016 Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships in the girls' and mixed doubles event. She won her first senior international title at the Brazil International Challenge tournament partnered with Jaqueline Lima. She was a bronze medalist in the women's doubles event at the Badminton at the 2019 Pan American Games, 2019 Lima Pan American Games. The 2022 Pan Am Male & Female Badminton Cup was a continental badminton championships tournament to crown the best men's and women's team for the Americas. It was held in Acapulco, Mexico from 17 to 20 February. Kristen Tsai
Kristen Tsai (born 11 July 1995) is a Taiwanese born Canadian badminton player. She is the women's doubles champion at the 2019 Pan American Games, fifth time Pan Am Champion winning the women's singles title in 2012, and then the women's doubles title in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. Career Tsai became the first Canadian ever to make in to the quarterfinals at the World Junior Championships. Lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, she trained at the ClearOne badminton club, and majored in criminology at the Simon Fraser University. She won her first Pan Am Championships title in 2012 in the women's singles event, and after that Tsai spent a full 4 years – between the 2013 and 2017 Canada Opens – away from international competition. Rachel Honderich (born 21 April 1996) is a Canadian badminton player from Toronto, Ontario. She has been one of the top ranked women's individual and doubles player on the continent and a contender in major international competitions. She is a vice-national champion in women's singles and has won several international titles since 2010. Career Honderich won her first senior international title at the 2014 Czech International tournament in the women's doubles partnered with Michelle Li. The Badminton Pan Am (BPA) organisation is the governing body for the sport of badminton in the Americas and is recognized as such by the Badminton World Federation - BWF. It was founded as a continental governing body on February 13, 1976 in the headquarters of the Mexican Olympic Committee in Mexico City. The Pan American Badminton Confederation was founded by Badminton Canada, the Jamaica Badminton Association, Federacion Mexicana de Badminton, Comision Nacional de Badminton Peru and the United States Badminton Association.
