KUTI (1460 AM) was a radio station broadcasting a sports format to the Yakima, Washington, United States area. The station was last owned by Townsquare Media. The station reached all parts of the Yakima Valley area. It aired programming from ESPN Radio. History The 1460 frequency was first occupied by KEVE in Everett, Washington, which was first licensed October 2, 1941. It moved to Yakima in 1944 as KTYW, changing its call sign to KIMA in 1947. KIMA's call sign was changed to KMWX in 1969. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, it broadcast an oldies format with hourly updates from NBC Radio News. KMWX was also used on the Yakima TCI Cablevision Program Guide back in the 1990s. KMWX primarily played hits from the 1960s and 1970s, and later added some 1980s. The station took on the KUTI call sign, formerly used at 980 kHz (now KTCR), in 2000. When KUTI went on the air on 980, it was owned by Wally Nelskog, with a rock and roll format. Violin Sonata
A violin sonata is a musical composition for violin, often accompanied by a keyboard instrument and in earlier periods with a bass instrument doubling the keyboard bass line. The violin sonata developed from a simple Baroque music, baroque form with no fixed format to a standardised and complex classical form. Since the Romantic music, romantic age some composers have pushed the boundaries of both the classical format as well as the use of the instruments. The early violin sonata In the earliest violin sonatas a bass instrument and the harpsichord played a simple bass line (continuo) with the harpsichord doubling the bass line and fixed chords while the violin played independently. The music was counterpoint, contrapuntal with no fixed format. Georg Philipp Telemann wrote many such sonatas as did Johann Sebastian Bach. Hungaroton
Hungaroton is the oldest record and music publisher company in Hungary. Hungaroton was founded in 1951, when its only competitors in the Hungarian music market were record labels like Melodiya, Supraphon and from other socialist countries. Previously called Qualiton, its name was changed to Hungaroton in the mid-1960s, though the Qualiton brand remained as a label for operetta and gypsy music releases. Also new popular music, rock and jazz labels (Pepita, Bravó, and Krém) were founded. In the early 1990s the massive import of foreign records caused a serious decrease in Hungaroton's sales. Although the original company went into liquidation, new and smaller companies arose on the ruins of Hungaroton. The Hungaroton Gong and Hungaroton Classic companies went private in 1995, and were reunited in 1998 under the name Hungaroton Records Publisher Ltd.
