Synetic
Synetic GmbH was a German video game company specialising in racing games. The company was founded in 1996, in Gütersloh by five former members of Ascaron. All five original members were still working for the company until the company was liquidated on 6 May 2014. Although the company with its team of eight employees was rather small and its games are virtually unknown outside of Germany, their titles are among the most popular racing games in Germany and are consistently among Germany's best-selling games. World Racing 2
''World Racing 2'' is a racing video game. It was developed by Synetic. It was released for Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was released in North America in 2006. It is the sequel to World Racing from 2003. Unlike World Racing, the game was not released for Nintendo GameCube. The game was re-released on Steam on 8 December 2022 under the subtitle "Champion Edition". The Champion Edition employs quality of life fixes and the removal of licensed cars, vinyls and rims. Gameplay World Racing 2's gameplay is fairly typical of arcade driving sims and is in many ways similar to the first game, Mercedes-Benz World Racing, as well as games such as Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. The player has to complete 'championships' - stages with a certain number of tracks, which the game is divided into, and unlock previously inaccessible tracks and cars. ''World Racing'' is a racing simulation video game developed by the German company Synetic GmbH and published by TDK Mediactive Europe. The game was released in 2003 for Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube, and only the Xbox version was released in North America. The game mainly focuses on Mercedes-Benz cars and was known during development as ''Mercedes-Benz World Racing''. A sequel, ''World Racing 2'', was released in 2005.
