Ruth Sylvie Morel (born September 2, 1956) is a Canadian Paralympic Wheelchair fencing, wheelchair fencer. Career At the 2000 Summer Paralympics, Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, Morel was the first Canadian to compete in Paralympic-level wheelchair fencing. She placed 10th in épée and 11th in foil. She qualified for the 2004 Summer Paralympics but was not selected by Canada to compete. At the 2011 International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation, International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championships, Morel won gold in women's A épée, which qualified her for the 2012 Summer Paralympics. At the 2012 Paralympic games, she placed 12th in épée. Morel won gold in women's A épée and silver in women's A foil at the 2015 IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championships. Pincourt, Quebec
Pincourt () is a municipality on the island of Île Perrot, off the western tip of the island of Montreal, Quebec. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 14,305. The town shares the island with the three other municipalities of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Terrasse Vaudreuil and L'Île-Perrot, bordering on each one. Wheelchair fencing is a version of fencing for athletes with a disability. Wheelchair fencing is governed by the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation that is a federation of the International Paralympic Committee, and is one of the sports in the Summer Paralympic Games. The Paralympic games take place every 4 years in different countries.
