Syed Zahiruddin
Tun Syed Zahiruddin bin Syed Hassan (11 October 1918 – 20 April 2013) was a Malaysian politician. He was the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca from 1975 to 1984 and the Ambassador to Ireland in 1975 and the United Kingdom in 1974. He was also the ''Orang Besar Empat Perak''. SMK Tun Syed Zahiruddin also named after him. Death On 20 April 2013, he died of a kidney failure at age 95. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Malacca
Malacca ( ms, Melaka) is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca. Its capital is Malacca City, dubbed the Historic City, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008. The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Tanjung Tuan also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. The orders, decorations, and medals of Malaysia comprise a complex system by which Malaysians and qualified foreigners are honoured by the country's sovereign for actions or deeds that benefit their community or the country at large. Modelled on its British predecessor, the orders, decorations, and medals of Malaysia were created after formation of Malaysia. The honour system came to exist earlier during Federation of Malaya. During the British colonial times, honours were given under the British honour system. Johor was the first state to institute its own honours on 31 July 1880. Then, the other Malay states did the same.
