Sydney CBD FC is an association football club based in Sydney CBD, New South Wales, Australia. The club was formed in 2014 as Team CBD, but changed their name after just one season. The club currently competes in the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA). History In 2014, they managed to qualify for 3 major finals in their first ever season in the Sydney Amateur Football Association. Their first grade narrowly lost 0–2 to Leichhardt Saints FC in the premier division Grand Final, whilst losing 0–5 in the reserve grade Grand Final to Iraqi Lions. Two weeks later the first grade finished on top of a nine-goal thriller with Balmain Wanderers FC to lift the Sydney Amateur Cup. It was the first time the Sydney Amateur Football League saw any one club in both the first division Grand Final and first division Amateur Cup final in the same season in their 68-year history. Wentworth Park
Wentworth Park is a park near the suburbs of Glebe and Ultimo in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The park contains several multi-purpose sporting pitches, cricket nets and a number of fitness installations. There is a playground in the southern area of the park and seating for picnics. Public toilets are next to the sports field. In the centre of the park is the Wentworth Park Sporting Complex. History Wentworth Park was initially a creek and swamp, known from the 1830s as Blackwattle Cove Swamp. Between the 1830s and 1860s, various toxic industries were established along the shore, including, in particular, abattoirs and boiling down works. 2015 FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds
The 2015 FFA Cup preliminary rounds were a qualifying football competition in Australia to decide 21 of the 32 teams which will take part in the 2015 FFA Cup Round of 32, along with the 10 A-League clubs and reigning National Premier Leagues champion ( North Eastern MetroStars SC). The preliminary rounds operated within a consistent national structure whereby club entry into the competition was staggered in each state/territory, with the winning clubs from Round 7 of the preliminary rounds in each member federation gaining direct entry into the Round of 32. All Australian clubs were eligible to enter the qualifying process through their respective FFA member federation, however only one team per club was permitted entry in the competition.
