Sybrand Engelbrecht (cricketer)
Sybrand Abraham Engelbrecht (born 15 September 1988) is a South African cricketer. Engelbrecht was born in Johannesburg. He is a right-hand allrounder who bats in the middle-order and bowls offspin. He made his first-class debut for Northerns in October 2007 and scored 45 and took four wickets against North West in the Provincial Challenge. He made an impact during the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia in 2008 with his stunning fielding at point and took catches that drew comparison with Jonty Rhodes.He currently plays for Cape Cobras. He was replaced instead of JP Duminy for the 2014 Champions League Twenty20. The Six Gun Grill Cape Cobras are a franchise cricket team representing the Western Province, Boland, and South Western Districts areas in South African domestic cricket. The team's home venues are Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town, Boland Park, Paarl, and the Recreation Ground, Oudtshoorn. They have had the privilege of playing in the Champions League Twenty20. JP Duminy
Jean-Paul Duminy (born 14 April 1984), more commonly known as JP Duminy, is a South African cricket commentator, and former international cricketer. He was vice-captain of the South Africa Twenty20 team. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler. Duminy, who is a Cape Coloured, was raised in the Western Cape and played domestic cricket for his home team, the Cape Cobras. In September 2017, Duminy retired from Test cricket after playing 46 matches between 2008 and 2017. In May 2019, Duminy announced his retirement from domestic cricket and in July 2019, he retired from all forms of international cricket. South Western Districts Cricket Team
South Western Districts, known as SW Districts or SWD, is a South African first class cricket team based in the Western Cape city of Oudtshoorn, representing approximately the eastern half of Western Cape province. They form part of the Cape Cobras franchise, and play their home games at the Oudtshoorn Recreation Ground. Playing history South Western Districts played their inaugural first-class match in the Currie Cup in 1904 at Mossel Bay against Western Province but did not play another first-class match for 102 years. The South Western Districts Cricket Board was granted associate status by Cricket South Africa in 2004 and the team has taken part in the Provincial Three-Day Challenge and Provincial One-Day Challenge competitions since the 2006-07 season. 2015 Africa T20 Cup
The 2015 Africa T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in South Africa from 4 September to 4 October 2015, as a curtain-raiser to the 2015–16 South African domestic season. Organized by Cricket South Africa, it featured thirteen South African provincial teams, as well as a Zimbabwean development XI and the national sides of Kenya and Namibia. The sixteen participating teams were split into four pools of four, with the teams from each pool playing all of their matches at one ground across a single weekend.
