This is a list of submissions to the 80th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited the film industries of various countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film every year since the award was created in 1956. The award is handed out annually by the Academy to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. The Foreign Language Film Award Committee oversees the process and reviews all the submitted films. For the 80th Academy Awards, which were held on February 24, 2008, the Academy invited 95 countries to submit films for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Fazlur Rahman Babu
Fazlur Rahman Babu (born 22 August 1960) is a Bangladeshi actor and singer. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor 4 times for his roles in the films ''Shonkhonaad'' (2004), ''Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe'' (2017), ''Fagun Haway'' (2019) and '' Bishwoshundori'' (2020). He also won Best Performance in a Comic Role for ''Gohin Baluchor'' (2017). Babu has also been featured in an Indian film. Rokeya Prachy is a Bangladeshi theater, television and film actress and director. Career Prachy got her acting breakthrough in Morshedul Islam's film ''Dukhai'' in 1997. Her first directorial work was a docufiction for Channel I in 2009. She later directed ''"Lutfunnesa"'' and ''"Bayanno'r Michhile"''. In 2015, she made her first television series direction in ''"Shelai Poribar"''. Personal life Prachy was married to Sergeant Ahad Parvez. Anisul Hoque (born 4 March 1965) is a Bangladeshi author, screenwriter, novelist, dramatist and journalist. He won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2011.
