The Swiss Union of Jewish Students (SUJS) is the umbrella organization of the Jewish student or young adults unions in Switzerland. SUJS represents the young Jews that are from 18 years old until 35 years old. SUJS is a member union of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS). The European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) is an umbrella organization for 34 national Jewish student unions in Europe and the Post-Soviet states, representing over 200,000 Jewish students. International Memberships EUJS is a constituent member of the European Youth Forum, the leading platform for more than 90 national youth councils and international NGOs, and is the only Jewish organization represented at that level. American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, also known as Joint or JDC, is a Jewish relief organization based in New York City. Since 1914 the organisation has supported Jewish people living in Israel and throughout the world. The organization is active in more than 70 countries. March Of The Living
The March of the Living ( he, מצעד החיים, ) is an annual educational program which brings students from around the world to Poland, where they explore the remnants of the Holocaust. On Holocaust Memorial Day observed in the Jewish calendar (), thousands of participants march silently from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex built during World War II. History The program was established in 1988 and takes place annually for two weeks around April and May, immediately following Passover. The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II.
