Swindled (film)
''Swindled'' or ''Taken In'' ( es, Incautos, links=no) is a 2004 Spanish-French thriller film directed by Miguel Bardem which stars Ernesto Alterio, Victoria Abril, and Federico Luppi. Plot After a time learning the ropes with aging Manco, swindler Ernesto ends up teaming up with alpha Confidence trick, conman Federico. Federico's former lover Pilar persuades the former to pull a large-scale scam. Cast Production The screenplay was written by Carlos Martín and Miguel Bardem. A Spanish-French co-production, the film was produced by Alquimia Cinema and Mandarin Films in association with Telemadrid, Nou (TV channel), Canal 9, Canal+ (Spanish TV channel), Canal+, and Televisión Española, TVE. Shooting locations included Madrid, and the province of Segovia. Release The film was presented in the official selection of the 7th Málaga Film Festival in April 2004. Ernesto Alterio
Ernesto Federico Alterio Bacaicoa (born 25 September 1970) is an Argentine-Spanish film, theatre, and television actor. Early life Alterio is the son of psychologist Modesta Ángela Bacaicoa Destéfano and actor Héctor Alterio Onorato. His younger sister Malena is also dedicated to acting. He is of Italian descent, his grandparents were originally from Carpinone, a commune in the province of Isernia, in the Molise region. After the coup in Argentina that took place very shortly after the birth of Malena, his father Héctor Alterio was threatened by Triple A, so the family went into exile and settled in Spain between 1974 and 1975 (where he was working at the time), years later he obtained Spanish nationality. Installed with his family in Madrid, when he was four years old, Ernesto suffered the uprooting that exile brings. He remained attached to his Argentine roots through family traditions. María Nieves Rebolledo Vila, better known by her stage name Bebe (born 9 May 1978), is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to international fame with the singles "Malo" and "Ella". Biography María Nieves Rebolledo Vila was born in Valencia, Spain, although very soon she moved to Extremadura, where she spent her entire childhood. Her parents were members of the Extremaduran folk group Surberina.
