Tollcross International Swimming Centre
The Tollcross International Swimming Centre is a swimming pool and leisure centre in Glasgow. It hosted the Swimming (sport), Swimming events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and will host it once more in 2026 Commonwealth Games, 2026. The centre hosted the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships, IPC Swimming World Championships during July 2015. Technical features It has one Olympic size swimming pool, Olympic standard 50 metre swimming pool, which was extensively upgraded, and a second 50-metre pool which was added as a warm-up facility. The pool was reopened on 24 May 2013. The seating capacity of the Pool is 2,000, rising to 5,000 with temporary seating during the Commonwealth Games. Thomas Hamer (born 16 August 1998) is an English British swimmer. Hamer is Commonwealth, European & World Champion. He has held Previous World Records in the 200m freestyle event and has held many British records in other swimming strokes. Hamer competes mainly in freestyle and individual medley preferring shorter distances. Christopher James Walker-Hebborn (born 1 July 1990) is an English swimming (sport), swimmer who competed for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal at the latter. Liam John Tancock (born 7 May 1985) is an English former competitive swimming (sport), swimmer who represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA world championships, and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. He specialised in backstroke and medley swimming, individual medley events. He is a three-time world champion and a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and held the world record in the 50-metre backstroke (long course) for almost a decade. Mitchell James Larkin (born 9 July 1993) is an Australian former competitive swimmer who specialises in backstroke events. He represented the Cali Condors as part of the International Swimming League. Larkin competed for Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Olympics. Benjamin Treffers (born 15 August 1991) is an Australian competitive swimmer who has participated in the FINA World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Treffers is a former Australian Record Holder and Commonwealth Champion in the 50m backstroke event. Treffers also won the title of 2012 Australian Champion in the 50m backstroke event and is trained by the Australian Institute of Sport. Daniel Owen Jervis (born 9 June 1996) is a British swimmer, from Resolven, Neath in South Wales, who competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2024 Summer Olympics. Career Jervis started his international career claiming bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games while representing Wales. In 2016, he represented Great Britain at the European Championships in London. James George Guy (born 26 November 1995) is an English competitive swimmer who specialises in freestyle and butterfly. David McKeon (born 25 July 1992) is an Australian competition swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he competed in the men's 400-metre freestyle, finishing in 14th place in the heats, failing to reach the final.
