"Sweetest Child" is a song recorded as a collaboration between American singer-songwriter Maria McKee and English record producer Youth. Maria Luisa McKee (born August 17, 1964) is an American singer-songwriter. She is best known for her work with Lone Justice, her 1990 song "Show Me Heaven", and her song "If Love Is a Red Dress (Hang Me in Rags)" from the film ''Pulp Fiction''. She is the half-sister of Bryan MacLean, who was best known as a guitarist and vocalist in the band Love. Early life Maria McKee was born in Los Angeles in 1964. She grew up in a bohemian family and is the half-sister of Bryan MacLean, the former guitarist of the band Love (he died in 1998 at age 51). Music McKee was a founding member of the cowpunk and proto Americana band Lone Justice, in 1982, with whom she released two albums. Several compilations of both previously released and unreleased material and a BBC Live in Concert album have been released since the group disbanded in 1987. Saul Davies (born 28 June 1965 in Liverpool) is a British musician best known as a member of the rock band James. Davies is a multi-instrumentalist whose primary instruments are the violin, guitar and percussion. Career Saul Davies was hired as a member of James in 1989, after the band's guitarist Larry Gott saw him playing violin at the Band On The Wall in Manchester. Impressed by his abilities, Gott invited Davies to join the band at their rehearsal room the following day for an audition. Davies immediately impressed the band members, who offered him a role in the band as violinist. Davies accepted, initially as a stop-gap measure, and went on to assist with guitar and percussion on the band's 1990 album ''Gold Mother'', which was also to become the band's commercial breakthrough. Robert "Throb" Young (19 November 1964 – 9 September 2014) was a Scottish musician. He was a member of the alternative rock band Primal Scream from 1984 to 2006. Career Young met Primal Scream singer Bobby Gillespie when they were both studying at King's Park Secondary School in Glasgow, and he joined the band in 1984. He performed on every Primal Scream album until his departure in 2006. He was originally the bass player. Primal Scream's debut album, ''Sonic Flower Groove'', was released in 1987. After the album was released, guitarist Jim Beattie left the band and Young took over that role. Following 2006's ''Riot City Blues'', Young left the band.
