''Sweet Western Sound'' is the 27th solo studio album by American country music singer Tanya Tucker. It was released on June 2, 2023, by Fantasy Records. The album was produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings and is the follow-up to Tucker's Grammy-winning 2019 album, ''While I'm Livin'''. Release and promotion On October 21, 2022, Tucker released the single "Ready as I'll Never Be" to promote the documentary '' The Return of Tanya Tucker''. The song won Best Original Song for a Documentary at the 13th Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Tucker was announced as one of the 2022 inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame on April 3, 2023. The album was officially announced on April 5, 2023, along with the release of its lead single, "Kindness". Phillip John and Timothy Jay Hanseroth are twin musicians best known for being the bassist and guitarist, as well as songwriters with Brandi Carlile in her eponymous band. They won a Grammy for best American roots song in 2019. The twins met Carlile in 1999 after being introduced by producer Rick Parashar. A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which pushes a length of magnetic tape against a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds. The Mellotron evolved from the similar Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more efficiently. The first models were designed for the home and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. Matthew Chamberlain (born April 17, 1967) is an American session musician, drummer, producer and songwriter. Biography Life and career Chamberlain was born in San Pedro, California on April 17, 1967. He began learning how to play the drums at 15 years old, taking lessons with David Garibaldi from the band Tower of Power. He attended North Texas State's music program, leaving after less than a year. After leaving college, he moved to Dallas, Texas and played with multiple bands, often taking on small gigs. While in Texas, he was hired to play drums on tour with Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, and he recorded two records with the band before they broke up in 1991.
