Sweet Poolside
is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Shūzō Oshimi. It was first serialized in Kodansha's ''Weekly Young Magazine'' in 2004, and later re-serialized in ''Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine'' from May to August 2011. It was adapted into a live action film that was premiered theatrically in Japan on June 14, 2014. In March 2022, Kodansha USA announced they licensed the series for English publication, with the one compiled volume releasing on January 17, 2023. Plot Toshihiko Ota (Kenta Suga) is a first year junior high school student. He is a member of the school's swimming club. He also suffers from not having enough body hair. Shūzō Oshimi
is a Japanese manga artist who publishes works primarily for Kodansha. He made his debut with ''Superfly'' in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine. He is best known for his manga ''Drifting Net Cafe,'' '' The Flowers of Evil'' and ''Happiness''. His works have been adapted into many different media including television drama, anime, and live action film. In 2001, he won the Tetsuya Chiba Award. Shota Matsuda
is a Japanese actor. Matsuda is best known for his roles in the ''Hana Yori Dango'' series, the ''Liar Game'' series, and ''Love Shuffle''. Personal life Matsuda was born on September 10, 1985 in Suginami, Tokyo, Japan, to Yūsaku Matsuda, a Japanese actor of partial Korean ancestry, and Miyuki Matsuda (née Kumagai). Matsuda was the second son and second child born of his parents' marriage.
