''Sweet Bitter Sweet'' is the sixth studio album by Australian indie rock band Holy Holy (Australian band), Holy Holy, scheduled for release on 9 May 2025 through Wonderlick Entertainment and Sony Music Australia. Upon announcement Holy Holy said "Initially, we had planned to record acoustic versions of some of our favourite songs from Holy Holy... But creative chemistry sparked new material too." The album will be split into two sections of five new tracks and seven reimagined tracks. To promote the release, Holy Holy will perform a 17-day tour across Australia through May and June 2025. Singles * "Love You Still" was released on 25 April 2025 as the lead single. imothy Carroll said the song is "about enduring love - the kind that remains perpetually, even if you never see that person again." * "So Be It" was released on 9 May 2025, with Carroll said "Is about what it feels like to say goodbye – and how strange and uncomfortable that can be." Holy Holy (Australian Band)
Holy Holy are an Australian indie rock band formed by songwriters Timothy Carroll (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Oscar Dawson (lead guitar) in 2011. The pair were later joined by session and touring musicians Ryan Strathie (drums) and Graham Ritchie (bass guitar). They have released six studio albums and have been nominated for two ARIA Awards. In 2025, the band announced that they would go on an indefinate hiatus. History 2011–2013: Formation and ''The Pacific EP'' Australian-born songwriters Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson initially met as volunteer English teachers in Southeast Asia. They reconnected in 2011 while Carroll was living in Stockholm. Dawson had moved to Berlin with his then-band, Dukes of Windsor. When Dawson visited Carroll in Sweden, Carroll asked him to assist with some songs, which later formed the basis for their debut extended play, '' The Pacific EP''.
