The ''Home Review'' () was a Sweden, Swedish women's magazine, published from 1859 to 1885. It was the first women's magazine in the Nordic countries and its inception is sometimes regarded as the foundation of Sweden's women's movement. It was sometimes published as the (') and after 1868 was known as the ('). __NOTOC__ History The ''Home Review'' was founded by Sophie Adlersparre and Rosalie Olivecrona in Stockholm in 1859. It treated issues within women's rights and gender equality such as women's education, property rights, and legal status. Aside from this, the magazine also contained novels, Serial (literature), serials, and popular science. It also featured poems and short stories. In 1886, the magazine was replaced by ''Dagny (Swedish magazine), Dagny'', the paper of the Fredrika-Bremer-förbundet, Fredrika Bremer Association. ('Suffrage for Women') was a journal published by the Swedish National Association for Women's Suffrage. It was first published in 1912 and the last issue was published in 1919, when the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) decided to extend universal suffrage to men and women. The journal's motto was: "We can never do as much for a great cause as a great cause can do for us." History The National Association for Women's Suffrage (, LKPR) had been using the Fredrika Bremer Association's journal ''Dagny'' as a mouthpiece. Cooperation between the two could be problematic at times; LKPR was against the fact that the editors of ''Dagny'' also allowed opponents of suffrage to publish in the journal.
