Swamp City Roller Derby (formerly Swamp City Roller Rats) is a women's flat track roller derby league, based in Palmerston North, New Zealand. History The league was founded in March 2010, by Trudy Hannon (Joanie Trash) and Kyla Sinclair (Dutch Courage). Paradise City Roller Derby was a women's flat track roller derby league based in Burleigh, Queensland, Australia. Founded in 2013, the league consisted of two teams, which competed against teams from other leagues, and was a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). 2017 was the league's last active year. The league was founded in 2013, spending its first years training at the Police Citizens Youth Club in Nerang, before being asked to relocate for fear of damaging its floors from skating on it. Paradise City hosted the Royal Rumble tournament at Carrara Indoor Stadium, and was considered a favourite after defeating Sydney Roller Derby League the week before.
