Swaggering
Swaggering is an ostentatious style of walking with an extravagant manner. The exact gait will vary with personality and fashion but it is generally more of a loose, rolling style than a stiff strut. The feet will be kept apart rather than following each other in line and the more swaggering the gait, the greater the lateral distance between them. Studies have found that people are able to determine sexual orientation from such cues and a shoulder-swagger was perceived as a heterosexual orientation. Among London cockneys, swaggering was stylised as the coster walk which became the dance craze of the Lambeth walk. Among African-Americans, it is known as a jive-ass walk or pimp walk. The actor John Wayne was known for his swaggering walk which became a distinctive element of his screen image. A cane may be used as a walking stick as part of the performance. Swagman
A swagman (also called a swaggie, sundowner or tussocker) was a transient labourer who traveled by foot from farm to farm carrying his belongings in a swag. The term originated in Australia in the 19th century and was later used in New Zealand. Swagmen were particularly common in Australia during times of economic uncertainty, such as the 1890s and the Great Depression of the 1930s. Many unemployed men travelled the rural areas of Australia on foot, their few meagre possessions rolled up and carried in their swag. Their swag was frequently referred to as "Matilda", hence Waltzing Matilda refers to walking with their swag. Typically, they would seek work in farms and towns they travelled through, and in many cases the farmers, if no permanent work was available, would provide food and shelter in return for some menial task. Swagger is a suite of tools for API developers from SmartBear Software and a former specification upon which the OpenAPI Specification is based. History The Swagger API project was created in 2011 by Tony Tam, technical co-founder of the dictionary site Wordnik. During the development of Wordnik's products, the need for automation of API documentation and client SDK generation became a major source of frustration. Tam designed a simple JSON representation of the API, building upon the flexibility of the HTTP protocol and using many features of tooling built for the SOAP protocol. The concept for the user interface was proposed by Ayush Gupta, who suggested that an interactive user interface would benefit end users who wished to "try out" and develop against the API. Swagger (No-Man EP)
"Swagger" is a cassette EP, and later compilation album and the second release by the then British trio No Man Is An Island, which would later rename and be known simply as No-Man. The cassette was made for the band to sell at concerts. It was later described by the band themselves as "very much a transitional release, with the band at an uncomfortable position between brash synthpop, abrasive art rock and the lusher atmospheres which would later become a No-Man trademark." Some promo versions also included "The Girl From Missouri" (the earlier self-titled debut release). "Bleed" was featured in two subsequent versions - one on the 'Sweetheart Raw' EP and one on ' Heaven Taste'. ''Swagger'' is the debut studio album by the Celtic punk band Flogging Molly, mixed by Steve Albini. It was released in 2000. Reception In a very positive review, AllMusic called ''Swagger'' a combination of the "folk of the Pogues with an Oi! blast by way of the Dropkick Murphys". The reviewer went on to call the album "music that's perfect for any barroom brawl." "Swagga Like Us" is a song by American rappers Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West, and Lil Wayne, released on September 6, 2008, in the United States as the fifth single from T.I.'s sixth album ''Paper Trail'' (2008). The track was also initially slated for inclusion on Jay-Z's eleventh album '' The Blueprint 3'' (2009), however it ultimately failed to make the final track listing.
