Svetlana Grigoryan
Svetlana Rubeni Grigoryan ( hy, Սվետլանա Ռուբենի Գրիգորյան, September 30, 1930 – May 12, 2014) was an Armenian actress who was awarded the title ''People's Artist of Armenia''. Biography Grigoryan was born in Yerevan .She performed onstage from the age of 13. After graduating from the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts and Theater, Vardan Ajemian invited her to the Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre of Yerevan where she has been working to this day. Grigoryan was well known for comedic roles (Roza in ''Taxi, Taxi''; Satenik in ''Im zokanche'') at the Paronyan State Theater of Musical Comedy. Vardan Ajemian
Vardan Mkrtchi Ajemian ( hy, Վարդան Մկրտչի Աճեմյանը; September 15, 1905 in Van, Ottoman Empire – January 24, 1977 in Yerevan, Soviet Armenia) was an Armenian theatrical director and actor. He was named People's Artist of USSR in 1965 and Hero of Socialist Labour in 1975. Biography Ajemian studied in Yerevan and Moscow. In 1928 he founded the Second Armenian State Theatre (Gyumri State Theatre). In 1939 he moved to Yerevan Sundukian Theatre and became its artistic director. He directed Alexander Shirvanzade's ''For the Honour'' (1939), William Saroyan's ''My Heart is in the Mountains'' (1961), Papazian's ''Rock'' (1944), Nairi Zarian's ''Ara Geghetsik'' (1946), Aramashot Papayan's ''The World, Yes, Turned Upside Down'' (1967) and several musical presentations. Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre Of Yerevan
Officially Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre, is one of the prominent theatres of the Armenian capital Yerevan, founded in 1941. It is located on Vazgen Sargsyan Street in the central Kentron district of the city, near the Republic Square. It is named after the Armenian renowned satirist Hagop Baronian. History The Theatre was opened on June 22, 1942. The first artistic director was Shara Talyan.
