Svetislav Basara ( sr-cyr, Светислав Басара; born 21 December 1953) is a Serbian writer and columnist. Biography Basara grew up in Užice, attended the Gymnasium (school), Gymnasium of the town and graduated with maturity diploma, then he began studying at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, Philological Faculty of the University of Belgrade but left the faculty after two semesters without graduation in 1976. The young man started his career as freelance writer and became editor of the literary journals ''Književna reč'' (1983–86) and ''Međaj'' (1989); many other journals, newspapers and magazines published numerous contributions to literary and cultural-philosophical topics of the author in recent decades, he writes for the Column (periodical), column ''Famous'' (Famozno) of Danas (newspaper), Danas since 2009. Svetislav Glišović
Svetislav Glišović (Serbian Cyrillic: Светислав Глишовић; 17 September 1913 – 10 March 1988) was a Yugoslav international football player and manager. Club career Glišović played in the youth team of SK Soko before becoming one of the main players of the BSK golden 1930s, he was, together with Tirnanić, Vujadinović, Marjanović and Božović, the main contributor to the attacking game of the club. Since his first appearance in the 1932 season, he won four national championships, and was the league top scorer, with ten goals in same number of matches, in the 1939–40 season. He spent a decade in the club, playing in both sides in the midfield and becoming famous for his speed and strong shot. Svetislav Jovanović ( sr-cyr, Светислав Јовановић; 15 March 1861 – 1933) was a Serbian Realist painter. Biography He was born on March 15, 1861, in Vršac. He was the brother of the famous Serbian painter Paja Jovanović and Milan Jovanović, the most famous Serbian photographer of the 19th century. He finished high school in Vienna, where he began his studies in painting. He continued his studies in 1879 in Petrograd, Munich (with his brother Paja Jovanović) and Paris at the Zillian Academy. He spent most of his life in Paris, where he lived for fifty years. He was especially esteemed in Paris, where he lived and was gladly accepted into the highest circles of France. Svetislav Milosavljević
Svetislav "Tisa" Milosavljević ( sr-cyr, Светислав Тиса Милосављевић; 9 July 1882 – 28 July 1960) was a Serbian military architect and public officer. He was the first ban of the Vrbas Banovina, and during his term between 1929 and 1934 he significantly improved its capital city of Banja Luka, which celebrates him today as one of distinguished citizens. Afterwards, he was the Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Biography Svetislav was the eldest son of a wealthy Niš businessman, Toma Milosavljević. He planned to become an engineer, but his father's financial collapse forced him into the military profession. Svetislav Stančić (7 July 1895 in Zagreb – 7 January 1970 in Zagreb) was a Croatian pianist and music pedagogue. Svetislav Valjarević (; 9 July 1911 – 22 September 1996) was a Serbian footballer. Career He started playing in the youth team of BSK Belgrade, however when he graduated the Military Academy, he was sent to service to Zagreb in 1930 where he joined HŠK Concordia. A year later after arriving, he won the national championship and was the league top-scorer. Specially noted for his great game vision and dangerous shot, he usually played in the position of right midfielder.
