Sveti Jurij, Rogatec
Sveti Jurij () is a settlement in the Municipality of Rogatec in eastern Slovenia. It lies northeast of the town of Rogatec, east of Donačka Gora, and south of Mount Saint Donatus. It is sometimes known as ''Sveti Jurij pri Donački Gori'' (literally, Sveti Jurij near Donačka Gora) to differentiate it from other settlements with the same name. The entire Rogatec area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. Savinja Statistical Region
The Savinja Statistical Region () is a Statistical regions of Slovenia, statistical region in Slovenia. The largest town in the region is Celje. It is named after the Savinja River. The region is very diverse in natural geography; it mainly comprises the wooded mountainous terrain attractive to tourists (the Upper Savinja Valley and part of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps), the fertile Lower Savinja Valley with good conditions for growing hops, the Kozje Hills, and the Velenje Basin with lignite deposits, used for electricity production. The Municipality of Rogatec (; ) is a municipality in eastern Slovenia, on the border with Croatia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Rogatec. The area belongs to the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. Mount Saint Donatus () also known as Mount Rogatec (), elevation , is a mountain in eastern Slovenia. It is among the easternmost peaks in the Karawanks, which extend to Mount Ivanšćica in Croatia. Saint George
Saint George (;Geʽez: ጊዮርጊስ, , ka, გიორგი, , , died 23 April 303), also George of Lydda, was an early Christian martyr who is venerated as a saint in Christianity. According to holy tradition, he was a soldier in the Roman army. Of Cappadocian Greek origin, he became a member of the Praetorian Guard for Roman emperor Diocletian, but was sentenced to death for refusing to recant his Christian faith. He became one of the most venerated saints, heroes, and megalomartyrs in Christianity, and he has been especially venerated as a military saint since the Crusades.
