Svetlana () is a common Orthodox Slavic languages, Slavic feminine given name, deriving from the East Slavic languages, East and South Slavic languages, South Slavic root ''svet'' (), meaning "light", "shining", "luminescent", "pure", "blessed", or "holy", depending upon context similar if not the same as the word Shweta in Sanskrit. Particularly unique among similar common Russian names, this one is not of ancient Slavic origin but was coined by Alexander Vostokov in 1802 and popularized by Vasily Zhukovsky in his eponymous ballad "Svetlana (ballad), Svetlana", the latter first published in 1813. The name is also used in Ukraine, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, North Macedonia, and Serbia, with a number of occurrences in non-Slavic countries. Sveta Planman (born 1979) is a Russian-born Finnish fashion designer and entrepreneur. She is the CEO and designer of JOLIER transformable fashion brand, created in Helsinki in 2008. Planman started her studies within the field of fashion at Hämeen Institute for Vocational Education, then continuing to Wetterhoff at Hämeen University of Applied Science. In 2003-2004 Planman studied at NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Italy. After graduating as a fashion designer from the University of Art and Design Helsinki (Master of Arts) in 2005, Planman launched her first collection. Besides designing, Planman makes all patterns herself, and said: “Transformability in clothing has always intrigued me and I wanted to create something new. Svetlana Alekseeva (born , professional name Sveta Ugolyok) is a Russian model. When she was four years old she suffered burns over 50% of her body. Her mother had left her alone in the house, and the child tried to burn off loose threads from her nightdress with a candle in the way she had seen her mother doing. The nightdress was of synthetic fabric and caught fire, fusing to her skin. She was in a coma for two months, and remained scarred from the burns. Her mother, an alcoholic, did not visit her in hospital, and subsequently neglected her. Alekseeva spent part of her childhood in an orphanage, and suffered bullying because of her appearance. At the age of 18 she said "If society puts pressure on you and is bullying you just because you have some individuality, this doesn't mean they're right". 4118 Sveta, or by provisional designation, , is an Eoan asteroid from the outer regions of the asteroid belt, approximately in diameter. It was discovered on 15 October 1982, by Russian astronomer Lyudmila Zhuravleva at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in Nauchnij, on the Crimean peninsula. The asteroid was named after Soviet cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya. Orbit and classification ''Sveta'' is a member the Eos family (), the largest asteroid family of the outer main belt consisting of nearly 10,000 asteroids. It orbits the Sun at a distance of 2.7–3.3  AU once every 5 years and 3 months (1,916 days; semi-major axis of 3.02 AU).
