Sverre L. Mo
Sverre L. Mo (25 January 1915 – 10 October 2002) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party of Norway, Christian Democratic Party. He was elected to the Stortinget, Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1965, and was re-elected on three occasions. He had previously served in the position of deputy representative during the terms 1954–1957, 1958–1961 and 1961–1965. Mo was born in Kvam, Hordaland, Kvam and was involved in local politics in Kvam, Hordaland, Kvam municipality from 1951 to 1954 and later 1959 to 1973. The Christian Democratic Party (, , , KrF; ) is a Christian democracy, Christian-democratic List of political parties in Norway, political party in Norway founded in 1933. The party is an observer member of the European People's Party (EPP). It currently holds three seats in the Parliament, having won 3.8% of the vote in the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election, 2021 parliamentary election. The current leader of the party is Dag Inge Ulstein. The Christian Democrats' leader from 1983 to 1995, Kjell Magne Bondevik, was one of the most prominent political figures in modern Norway, serving as Prime Minister of Norway, Prime Minister from 1997 to 2000 and 2001 to 2005. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Hordaland
Hordaland () was a county in Norway, bordering Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Telemark, and Rogaland counties. Hordaland was the third largest county, after Akershus and Oslo, by population. The county government was the Hordaland County Municipality, which is located in Bergen. Before 1972, the city of Bergen was its own separate county, apart from Hordaland. Kvam is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The municipality is located along the Hardangerfjorden in the traditional district of Hardanger. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Norheimsund. Other larger settlements in the municipality include Øystese, Bru, Ålvik, Tørvikbygd, Omastranda, and Mundheim.
