Svenner
Svenner is a small island group in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The islands lie about off the mainland coast, near the mouth of the Larviksfjorden. They are located about southeast of the town of Stavern. The Svenner Lighthouse was established in 1874 on the island of Korpekollen. The smaller islands of Bølene, Strømsundholmen, and Ferjeholmen were listed as bird sanctuaries in 2009. Geologically, the islands consist largely of syenite. HNoMS Svenner (G03)
HNoMS ''Svenner'' was a Royal Norwegian Navy destroyer during the Second World War. She was built for the Royal Navy as the S-class destroyer HMS ''Shark'' but on completion was lent to the Norwegian Armed Forces in exile. ''Svenner'' was sunk off Sword, one of the Allied landing zones in Normandy, at dawn on 6 June 1944 while supporting the British Army Normandy landings. Svenner Lighthouse
Svenner Lighthouse () is a coastal lighthouse in the municipality of Larvik in Vestfold, Norway. The lighthouse is located in the Svenner archipelago, about to the southeast of the town of Stavern, near the entrance to the Larviksfjorden. The lighthouse was first lit in 1874. The current tower was built in 1900. The lighthouse was listed as a protected site in 1997, and was automated in 2003. Larviksfjorden
Larviksfjorden is a fjord in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The long fjord is about wide at its mouth where it flows out into the Skaggerak. The fjord reaches a depth of below sea level. The rivers Numedalslågen and Farriselva both discharge into the fjord. The towns Stavern and Larvik both border to the fjord. Stavern
Stavern is a town in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The town is located at the mouth of the Larviksfjorden along the Skagerrak coast, about south of the town of Larvik. Historically, Stavern was a self-governing municipality from 1838 until 1988 when it became part of the large Larvik Municipality. The town has a population (2022) of 5,902 and a population density of . Stavern is a small town where tourism is one of the most important sources of income.
