Sven Hagströmer
Sven Johan Gösta Barthen Hagströmer (born 30 November 1943) is a Swedish business executive, best known as the founder of Avanza Bank and investment company Creades. He is also the initiator of the non-profit organizations AllBright and Berättarministeriet. Biography Sven Hagströmer belongs to the noble family Hagströmer, ennobled in 1812 and introduced at the Riddarhuset in 1814, according to 1809 year's form of government, where only the head of the family is noble. He is the grandson of the governor of Blekinge and the judge of appeal, Sven Axel Eschelsson Hagströmer and Sigrid Karolina Wising, who in turn was the daughter of professor and med. doctor Per Johan Wising and Sophie Henriette Benedicks, granddaughter of the Jewish immigrant jeweler Michael Benedicks who converted to Christianity; thus his father was cousin of Raoul Wallenberg. Norrtälje is a locality and the seat of Norrtälje Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 17,275 inhabitants in 2010. It is one of the largest towns in Roslagen. History Norrtälje’s early history dates back to the Iron Age. Around 225 ancient monuments have been found within what is now the city. HQ Bank was a Swedish finance and banking corporation founded by Sven Hagströmer and Mats Qviberg (the last names of which form the H and the Q of the bank's name). It began operations in 2006. Due to unmanageable risk and losses its banking licence was revoked in 2010, the bank's crash caused the loss of several billion SEK and is one of the largest banking crashing in Sweden. Several board members were prosecuted for fraud but were acquitted.
