Sven-Ingvars
Sven-Ingvars is a Swedish pop/rock group from Slottsbron, Sweden. The band was formed in 1956 by Sven Svärd (drums), Ingvar Karlsson (guitar and accordion), Sven-Erik Magnusson (vocals, guitar, and clarinet). Later the band were joined first by Rune Bergman on bass guitar and then by Sven-Olof Petersson on tenor and baritone saxophone. The group made their first EP as a quartet in the early 1960s ('' Guitar Boogie''). In the mid-1960s the group was popular in Sweden with hits such as " Te' dans me' Karlstatösera", " Ett litet rött paket", "Fröken Fräken", " Börja om frÃ¥n början", " Säj inte nej, säj kanske, kanske, kanske", "Vid din sida", Önskebrunnen and many others. They were so popular that in 1963, the opening act for the group was The Beatles. Biography Ingvar Karlsson is the only remaining member of the band since the start in 1956. "Önskebrunnen" is a song based around the old themes with wishing wells, and written by Rune Wallebom and originally recorded by Sven-Ingvars who released it as a single in October 1967. It also appeared on a 1967 EP record for the film '' Under ditt parasoll''., and the song was also film music for that film in 1968. The song also became a Svensktoppen hit, charting between 5 November 1967-7 January 1968, staying at the chart for 10 weeks. Sven-Ingvars also rerecorded the song for the 1990 album '' PÃ¥ begäran'' 1990. Rune Wallebom has also recorded the album, which he did on the 1975 album '' Danspartaj med Rune Walleboms bästa''. Knut Sven-Erik Magnusson (13 October 1942 – 22 March 2017) was a Swedish singer and musician known for being the lead singer of the band Sven-Ingvars that during their sixty-year history played many different types of popular music, and was at times regarded as a ''dansband.'' The band had its last tour during the summer of 2016 with their last show on 21 August that year in Blekinge. "Fröken Fräken" is a song written by Thore Skogman and recorded by Sven-Ingvars, who released it as a single in 1964. Their version charted at Svensktoppen for six weeks between 21 November 1964 and 9 January 1965, peaking at first position. Thore Skogman recorded the song on 10 November 1963, and released it in December 1965 on the EP featuring ''Pop opp i topp''. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years.
