Svanhild Johannessen
Svanhild Johannessen (August 21, 1882 – January 15, 1971) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actress. Svanhild Johannessen was born in Bergen. She was the daughter of the actor Berent Johannessen and the actress Laura Elvig, and the sister of the actress Borghild Johannessen. On June 14, 1901, she married the actor Hauk Aabel. She was the mother of the actors Per Aabel and Andreas Aabel. Johannessen had her stage debut on January 4, 1900 at the Centralteatret, Central Theater under the direction of Rudolf "Rulle" Rasmussen. She played the role of the young girl Hildegard in the comedy ''Das Opferlamm'' (The Sacrificial Lamb) by Oscar Walther and Leo Stein (writer), Leo Stein, in which her father played the lead role. In 1900, she participated in the ''Nord-Norge-turneen'' (Northern Norway Tour), headed by Harald Otto, in which she played Helga in Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's comedy ''Geografi og Kærlighed'' (Geography and Love). Bergen (, ) is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland county on the Western Norway, west coast of Norway. Harald Otto
Harald Otto (January 24, 1865 – May 13, 1928) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actor and theater director. Otto was born in Nes municipality, Nes, Norway, the son of the stationmaster Hans Otto Hansen (1815–?) and Maren Paulsen (1832–?). He moved to the United States in 1886, and in 1890 he performed in the theater in Chicago, where he also married Ignatzia Johanna Osberg (1869–1945). He soon returned to Norway, where he worked in various theater groups from 1891 to 1900. He purchased the Centralteatret, Central Theater in 1907 and he operated it until his death, with Torolf Voss serving as the theater's orchestra director. After Harald Otto's death, his son Reidar Otto took over the business. The theater remained in the Otto family until 1959. Otto himself sang the song "Akerselva, du gamle, du grå" (The Old Gray Akerselva, Aker River) by Vilhelm Dybwad in 1906, when he staged Dybwad's play ''Verdens undergang'' (The End of the World). Leo Stein, born Leo Rosenstein (25 March 1861, Lemberg – 28 July 1921, Vienna, Austria) was a playwright and librettist of operettas in the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries, including works adapted for a number of Broadway productions. Stein wrote libretti for Johann Strauss Jr, Franz Lehár, Emmerich Kálmán, and Oskar Nedbal. His collaboration with Viktor Léon contributed much to Lehár's success.
